Opportunity Score

How VYLO ranks pools: five components, published weights, no hidden model.

Overview#

Every pool gets a score from 0 to 100. It answers one question: how attractive is this pool for a liquidity provider right now, all else equal. The score is deterministic: the same inputs always give the same score, and every formula is on this page.

total = 0.30 x fees + 0.25 x liquidity + 0.20 x turnover + 0.15 x stability + 0.10 x maturity
Components without data (for example no price range from the data source) are left out and the remaining weights are renormalised.

The five components#

Most components use a saturating curve, sat(x, k) = 1 - e^(-x / k), so more is better but with diminishing returns. A value equal to k scores about 63.

ComponentWeightInputFormulaExample
Fee efficiency30%24h fees / TVL, annualized100 x sat(apr, 0.60)60% APR scores 63
Liquidity25%TVL(log10(TVL) - 4) / 4 x 100$10K = 0, $1M = 50, $100M = 100
Capital efficiency20%24h volume / TVL100 x sat(turnover, 1.5)1.5x per day scores 63
Stability15%24h price range / price100 x e^(-range / 0.08)8% range scores 37
Maturity10%Pool age in days100 x sat(days, 30)30 days scores 63
Note
Range pools expose 7 day price history instead of a 24h range. VYLO uses the 7 day range divided by 3 as a daily estimate. Bin pools expose no range, so stability is left out for them.

Risk classes#

Risk is separate from the score. A high score can still be high risk. The rules are applied in order:

ClassWhen
HighTVL under $250K, or pool younger than 48 hours, or stability under 25, or fee APR above 150%, or neither token is SOL, a stablecoin or an LST. Also high when only one side is major and no price range data exists.
LowBoth tokens are stablecoins or LSTs (or SOL with an LST), and TVL is above $2M.
MediumEverything else.
Important
Risk classes describe market risk from public data. They do not cover smart contract risk of the pool or the token, which you can check in the token analysis on every pool page.
